Silliman University (SU)
Founded 1901 as Silliman Institute, following donation by Dr. Horace B. Silliman to the Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions (USA). Became University 1938. A private Institution supported by fees, donations, and grants. Since 1957 support from the United States has been channelled through the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, New York.
