Carlo Bo University of Urbino
Founded 1506 as College of Law by Guidobaldo I of Montefeltro, Duke of Urbino. Recognized by Bull of Pope Julius II 1507 and authorized to award the title of Doctor 1566. Formally recognized as a university by the Sacred Congregation of Studies 1826, and by Royal decree 1862. Recognized as Libera Università 1923. A non State institution enjoying administrative autonomy. Financially supported by State and provincial subventions, and tuition fees.
