University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA)
Founded 1970 under the 1968 law reforming higher education and replacing the former Université de Reims, founded 1967, which incorporated previously existing Faculties and re-established the original University created by Papal Bull in 1548 and suppressed by the Revolution. A State Institution enjoying academic and financial autonomy operating under the jurisdiction of the Minister of Education and financed by the State.
