The University of Queensland (UQ)
Established by Act of the Queensland Parliament 1909. Officially founded 1910, it began teaching in 1911. In 1990, it merged with the Queensland Agricultural College (now UQ Gatton) as part of a unified national system abolishing the binary system of universities and colleges of advanced education. In 1999, opened UQ Ipswich.

Requirements
- Admission details: Senior secondary school certificate or recognized foreign equivalent with appropriate grades and prerequisites. English language proficiency is required either via IELTS-test, overall band score of at least 6.5, with a writing band score of at least 6, or TOEFL test score of 550, with a writing band of 5. Higher English language proficiency is required for some programs of study
