The American University in Cairo (AUC)
Founded 1919. A private non-profit Institution located in New Cairo. It operates as a private educational/cultural Institute within the framework of the 1962 Egyptian-American Cultural Co-operation Agreement and in accordance with a protocol with the Government of Egypt through which the University's degrees are recognized as those awarded by the Egyptian national universities. Accredited in the United States by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104, +1(267) 284-5000, and licensed to grant degrees and incorporated by the State of Delaware.
