Guangxi Normal University (GXNU)
Founded 1932 as Guangxi Provincial Normal School. Changed name to Guangxi Provincial Guilin Teachers College 1942 and then National Guilin Teachers College 1943. Relocated to Nanning and renamed National Nanning Teachers College 1946. Moved back to Guilin and merged with Guangxi University 1950. Became Guangxi Teachers College after merger with Guangxi university was undone 1953. Acquired present title 1983.
