Founded 1949 as the United Baptist Bible Training School, both a Bible College and a High School. In transition as the emphasis changed to a post high school program, it became a Bible College and a Christian Junior Liberal Arts College 1968. Changed its name to Atlantic Baptist College 1970. Started offering Bachelor's degree in the early 1980s. Changed its name to Atlantic Baptist University 1996. Acquired present title 2009.
