Founded 1953 as College of Soviet trade. Became Bishkek Commercial College 1991, Supreme Commercial College 1997, Bishkek State Institute of Economics and Commerce 1999 and Bishkek State University of Economics and Commerce 2003. Acquired current title 2007.
