University of Ghana (UG)
Founded 1948 as University College of Gold Coast, became University College of Ghana 1957, and acquired present status and title 1961. Methodist University College Ghana affiliated 2002. The University of Ghana is situated on the West view of the Accra Legon hills and at the northeast of the centre of Accra, now has various schools, institutions, colleges and departments.

- Admission details: General Certificate of Education (GCE) with 5 credits including English, Mathematics, Arts and Science or West Africa School Certificate (WASC) Ordinary ('O') level and three passes at Advanced ('A') level, with a minimum grade D for one. Senior Secondary School Certificate with passes in core English, Mathematics and any 3 elective subjects, with aggregate score of 24 in the WAEC entrance examination
