Danube University Krems (DUK)
Founded 1994. The first University in Austria offering only postgraduate and continuing education programmes. A special cost-splitting model reinforces the autonomous character of the University. The Austrian Federal Government assumes the basic costs of personnel, investments and running operations. Province of Lower Austria has planned facilities at its disposal and is responsible for maintaining them. The University is run along the guidelines of a private enterprise.
