University of Angers
Founded 1971 as Centre universitaire d'Angers under the 1968 law reforming higher education and incorporating Institutions previously attached to the Ministry of Health and Université de Nantes and Université de Rennes. Acquired full University status 1972. A state Institution enjoying academic and financial autonomy operating under the jurisdiction of the Minister of Higher Education and Research and financed by the State.
