International Centre for Research-Development of Animal Husbandry in Subhumid Zones (CIRDES)
Founded 1991 at the request of five West African States (Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Benin, Togo and Niger), following the signing of a convention by their respective ministers of animal husbandry. Became operational in 1994.
