Founded 1947 as Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Saigon, a division of the Indochina School of Medicine . In 1976, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City was founded as the unit of the Universities of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry and the Southern Medical School.
