Northwest Indian College (NWIC)
Founded 1973 as the Lummi Indian School of Aquaculture. In 1983, the Lummi Nation chartered the Lummi Community College. In 1988, Lummi Community College was accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. In 1989, Lummi Community College became Northwest Indian College. Acquired present status 2010.
