Colorado Mesa University
Founded in 1925 as a junior college. In 1937, the school was renamed to Mesa College and began offering baccalaureate programs in 1974. In 1988 became Mesa State College. In 2011, the Board of Trustees and the State of Colorado officially renamed the institution Colorado Mesa University.
