Founded 1917 as Yuryivsk Teacher's Institute, reorganized 1919 as Kherson State Pedagogical Institute. Named after N.K. Krupska 1998. Renamed Kherson State 'N.K. Krupska' Pedagogical University. Acquired present status and title 2002.
