Visayas State University (VSU)
Founded 1924 as Baybay Agricultural School. Renamed Baybay Agricultural High School 1934 and converted into Baybay National Agricultural School and into Visayas Agricultural College 1960, and reconverted into Visayas State College of Agriculture 1974. Renamed Leyte State University (LSU) 2001. Acquired present title 2007.
