Yezin Agricultural University (YAU)
Founded 1924 as Agricultural College and Research Institute of Mandalay. Reorganized 1937 as college of former University of Rangoon. Became Faculty of University of Rangoon 1946 and Faculty of University of Mandalay on its establishment in 1958. Detached as independent institute following reorganization of university education 1964. Transferred from the Ministry of Education to the Ministry of Agriculture 1993. Acquired present title and status 1998.
