Yangon Technological University (YTU)
Founded 1924 as department of the former University of Rangoon. Became faculty 1947. Detached as independent institute following reorganization of university education and renamed Yangon Institute of Technology 1964. Acquired present status and title 1998. Financed by the Central Government and responsible to the Ministry of Education.
